Today, Friday April 29th this fabulous sign was unveiled at the bottle bank at Killeen. The art was created by the children of the Killeen National School. It was printed by Smart Art Signs and sponsored by Big Style. It's part of an anti litter campaign in cooperation with Mayo County Council and the Killeen Community Council. The children walked back from the school to the Killeen Community Centre and the recycling area. Jason Heraty unveiled the sign. All present were treated to refreshments afterwards in the Killeen community centre.
Thanks to everyone who made it possible including the following:
All at Killeen National School
Robert Gibbons of Smart Art Signs
Chris and all in Big Style
Mary Forde and Tom O'Brien in Mayo County Council for their guidance and support
Outdoor staff from the Mayo South West Development Company for putting the sign in place.
How could anyone possibly litter again in killeen when they see this beautiful sign? Fingers crossed.
